I am a 52 year old gay white male looking for a LTR. My only personal goal in life is to recapture a stable home life. I am well educated with a PhD. When I finished by Doctorate's I assumed this would say something about my character and would speak to perseverance and goal achievement. Instead, it has been a hindrances in finding love. People seem to think I am unapproachable because I have the word Dr. in front of my name but this is far from the truth. I own my own home and love a modest lifestyle. I not rich but I'm free and comfortable. I am 5'8" and weight 180 lbs. I am currently registered with weight watches and trying to lose 20 lbs for my health. I don't think this is a qualifying factor in my search, however, I am looking for someone mature enough to know that most men do gain a little unwanted weight around age 50 or so. My need to lose weight is for health reasons and I expect to be judged for who I am not my waist size. That being said, and it sounds a little hypocritical, but I have little tolerance for people who are obese. I am doing something about my extra 20 pounds, so I don't have much tolerance for a man who weighs 300 lbs. One must respect the body God gave them.
