The company of a sweet, gentle, perhaps slightly feminine, loving soul of any age to whom I could be a friend, a comfort and a possible loving partner. So naturally I would prefer someone who sees what I'm about, where I'm coming from. Hopefully it would be someone shall we say a bit needy, someone to care for him to whom he could return the caring with something approaching love. Difficult to get quite what you mean here. I think I've 'tried' most things. Professional acting and directing, Classical musician and teacher, orchestral conductor, primary school teacher, a jack of all trades and I flatter myself master of a good deal. Though I've always wanted to be a bit different, to join in more, to have a go at the gay scene and risk it. I guess I've always been a bit of a coward in that respect. My upbringing I suppose. Which is why I've so often lived in a kind of fantasy world and why I so adore these wild sexy movies and books. Not that I haven't had relationships. I'm not entirely a new boy on the block. But not as wild as I would have liked. Oh dear, I must shut up. I sound so negative and full of regret. And I'm not really. Honestly, I'm not.

Oh dear. I'm a trifle old to answer this one I think. My goal in life? Well, to live it to the full, to be happy and to spread a bit of happiness where and when I can. The joy in going to a marvellous play, or an Opera at Covent Garden, or a concert, with the one I love, drinks in the interval, and afterwards a stroll in the sultry balmy summer breeze to a gorgeous restaurant, soft lights, sweet music, candles, exquisite food and great conversation gazing into each others eyes full of love and trust. Or possibly in Italy in the gentle heat of Spring or Autumn in a trattoria, after which we saunter together through the twisting alleyways to our shared hotel room where we make love, any or every way. Or how about staying home, watching sexy movies with good friends and jolly good company. I'm not a terrific party goer. On the whole, one-to-one suits me just fine.
