This is incredibly difficult to write as I've been guarded for so long in an attempt to hide who I am and to protect myself from feeling love's scorn. That stops now. I yearn for someone with whom to share life's experiences. I want a true relationship based on friendship, centered on love, and sealed with trust and monogamy; all with that rare individual who understands that perfection doesn't exist and isn't expecting it a partner.

I enjoy working around the house, going to the movies, and shopping. When possible, I love to get away without planning. My favorite movie is The Talented Mr. Ripley. I'm not sure what that says about me. I am most drawn to that film because of the cinematography and the time in which it is set in Italy. I find it irresistibly romantic.

Right now my focus is on changing my lifestyle for healthier living. I'm learning about new foods, how to cook and that meals do come from places other than a drive-thru window. I'm a tall, stocky, guy wanting to return to a more athletic build. Desires sometimes do not become reality, so like me for who I am today and be happy with me if I change in the future.
