Ich würde mich selbst beschreiben als

Stop me if you've heard this: "Good-looking, masculine, accomplished guy, great sense of humor, looking for..." Oh, you've already heard that? Then how about;

Warm-hearted, quick-witted, nice guy looking for someone with whom to share a laugh, a life, the last cookie, my heart.

Online dating, certainly as we get older, has its "challenges." But I would like think it's still possible to reach out for genuine connection, for the possibility of romance, affection, sharing, and also the possibility of commitment.

It would be great to strike sparks with a guy (not a type) looking for something more than...you know... Someone who appreciates the day-to-day as much as any grand adventure, who can be both serious and seriously silly, who'll be there to share the good stuff, and listen to the bad, as I will be for him.

Common interests are great, but I believe shared values form a stronger connection. With that in mind, I'll say that Rachel Maddow keeps me sane, "The Daily Show" keeps me laughing, most Republicans keep me apoplectic. Friend and family are the world to me; my nieces and nephew are a constant source of joy. An evening out (dinner, theater, Yankee stadium?, etc.) is always fun, but so is a DVD and takeout on the couch with someone special. If I could (i.e., time and finances permitting), I'd spend more time traveling. Not to mention a place in Paris...

At the end of the day, I believe mankind's greatest achievements to be uncontrollable laughter and long, slow kisses. Can't seem to get enough of either.
