And of course, I am always interested in travel outside the city - tropical beaches and salt water scuba diving are top priorities. I should be pretty clear in this post that the statement of “what I am looking for” in the 1st paragraph is the unvarnished truth. I’m not focused on finding my true love. I’m enjoying a break from long term committed relationships after 25 years in 2 of them. Truly - just looking to increase the number of people that I would enjoy hanging out with. A little background – I came out in my 40s after a 16 year straight marriage with the requisite 2 (great) children and moved to the city in 1999 and just about immediately plunged into a roughly 10 year gay relationship that turned out to be socially limiting. That - along with tendencies toward introversion and a general lack of diligence in making the effort – combined to produce a more limited degree of social interaction outside of the relationship than I desired. I tend to form strong one-on-one relationships with a few good friends. Some of those have moved. And of course, some of those have different interests so we don’t try to do everything together. Consequently, I’ve reached a time where I’m willing to “put myself out there” a little bit more. I “got no game.” I work to be forthright direct and clear in my communications. For the most part, I also tend to treat other people to a “judgment free zone.” If any of this fits with what you might be open to giving a try, let me hear from you.
