I'm just a really great guy who "wants" (not "needs") a really great guy to share a life with. Honesty and integrity are very important to me. So are spirituality, romance, and a great sense of humor. My sense of humor is very sarcastic, a trait I inherited from my mother and her seven, yes 7, sisters. Passion is also very important. By that I don't mean just romantic passion, which is high on my list, but passion about life, about one's calling.
I enjoy singing in my church choir. There is just something about good church music that lets me know there has to be a greater being, one that truly appreciates the diversity of the world because, after all, she/he did create it! I love traveling when I get the opportunity
and hope eventually to make it to the home of my ancestors,
Scotland. I have been having a great deal of fun as of late studying genealogy, specifically the genealogy of my own family. I collect teddy bears, shot glasses and James Dean memorabilia. I love burning candles and incense. A perfect evening for me is candle light, incense, Celtic music and a sensual massage. I could go on, but I have to

I am living with HIV, and have been for over 23 years. I have had some health issues in the past few years, but not related to HIV. As far as the virus is concerned, it’s undetectable and I’m pretty healthy. The biggest issue I have faced is the stigma and prejudice that seems to go along with it. I wish that some folks realized how hurtful it actually is when they put things like “DDF, UB2” in their profiles. My feeling is that if you don’t want to date someone for a certain reason, then don’t. But there is no reason to be hurtful about it!
I decided a while back that I needed to either live with person I was sleeping with, or live alone. Currently, I live alone. Well, I do have a puppy, named Thor. My ideal mate is someone with honesty and integrity; one who isn't afraid to live from his heart. He doesn't smoke or do any drugs. He is very passionate in love and in life. He has a great sense of humor. I’d like to find a younger guy, say between 25 and 45. He should be very touchy-feely and affectionate. He doesn't have to be totally butch, but he shouldn't be totally femme either. No "straight acting" unless you're playing a part on stage. The rest of the time, be who you are, and be proud of it. It's what God intended you to be. Physically, I'm most attracted to men who are height/weight proportionate. Other than that, pretty much anything goes (although, if you’ve got nice calf muscles, well…). I do find smooth bodies extremely nice, but the older I get, the more I appreciate a hairy man as well. I’m most attracted to younger guys when they are mature; know who they are and what they want. Otherwise, be close to my age, no more than 5 or 6 years older. I don’t have a favorite hair color, or length. Sometimes I find a man with long hair very sexy, but often like a completely bald head as well as everything in between. Neither do I have a favorite eye color, but the deeper the color, whatever it is, the more I am drawn. I am often attracted to men of European, Native-American, Latin, Hispanic, African-American or Asian decent. A foreign accent will usually make me melt. Lately I'm kind of turned on by Russian and Irish accents. It all really just depends on the guy. By the way, I am also attracted to regular American Caucasians as well.
I've learned that as painful as some of my relationships have been, I am better for having had them, good or bad, than I would have been without them. We ALL have baggage, and I believe that anyone who thinks they don’t is fooling themselves. To me, it just means you’re well traveled. What you’re carrying isn’t so important as how you carry it. I certainly don’t mind helping you with your load. I only hope to have the same from you. The old song “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother” comes to mind.
